Me and My Reading

I read alot, My Princess always say i am torturing my eyes.

I don't know why, i just get bore easily if i am not reading,

and i just like reading alot.
Newspapers, Magazines, Comics, Novels, Soccer News on HP Etc Etc.

My reading pleasure

Newspapers - Start the day with Todays or Mypaper,

continue at Noon with The New Paper and end at night with The Straits Times.

Magazines

I will grab a free copy of HWN or GameAxis or

First Magazine free from office if i need something to read,

but sometimes i will read Entertainment or Cars Magazines as well.

Comics

Most Japs and Taiwanese Comics and some old time fav like

Garfield, Snoopy, Calvin and Hobbs, don't mind Archie once a while.

Novels

use to only read most novels with modern story backdrop, books from Jerry Archer, Dean R Koontz, Stephen King and some books like Shopaholic, Tuesday with Morrie.

But i am into fantasy now, addicted, can't stop reading,

i had finished a few books within a span of 3 weeks.

No Longer The Same

Some how i am no longer what i am.....something changes

I can't deny that they don't affect me.

Every old uncles remind me of him. Every time i go home i will see his images.
I miss the food he cooks, i even hope he call me..to buy dinner or newspaper....but it is all too late now.

I fear to listen to those familiar Jap dramas theme songs ( GTO, Beach Boys, Long Vacation, Under One Roof ) as they remind me of the times where we brothers were so crazy over them.

Singing and drinking with my brothers now a day, somehow i can feel a tinge of sadness within us brothers, as we all understand deep inside we miss him so much.

Flight Delay

This is my 3rd trip in April.
And my first flight delay by Silk Air due to Engine 2 refused to start.
From 8am flight delayed till 1145am.
Kind of rush for me later in Cambodia, as my appt with client is 2 pm Cambodia Time.

So boring at the airport.
Had a free meal at the cafe at Silk Air expense ( S$8.50 Max )
And played 2 games of Fifa Soccer on X360 and tried the Osim foot massager.

I hope the replacement plane is problem.
Be boarding soon.

Spirit

Keeping myself occupied have managed to keep my spirit up and emotion sound.
But at times alone.....thoughts tend to drift to him...my dad....
This incident had totally overshadowed my recent Japan trip...

I have been thinking alot recently......still thinking now...
So many what if, so many regrets, so many things that both of us can work on..but it is too late now.

The silence of the house is so deafening now.

FREAKING BAD LUCK!!!!

I am at Trader's Hotel now in KL, stupid contact lens broke and a piece is stuck in my right eye.

Damn irritating. I wonder if i slp with it in my eyes, tomorrow will my eyes get infected or damage....What should i do!!!! .................

Table for 1?

Stressful day......with many rush issues and urgent communication to make.
Irritated by the sudden hiccup, and frustrated by the resulting tricky negotiation with client.

Packed train and tired body did not help my mood while making my way home during rush hour.

To reward myself for controlling my temper and to perk myself a bit, i decided to have dinner at Sakae Sushi....yes alone :P

Only 3 grps of ppl are ahead of me.. but queue was slow. I was drifting into deep thoughts about work and occasionally on phone with client. Then i noticed the lady behind me had been complaining for quite awhile about the long wait... pity her boyfriend. She tried to persuade her boyfriend to sit at Teppanyaki section but he refused.
( Anyway no seat there too, i had checked )

Finally after about 20mins wait, it was my turn, but i let the couple behind me have my turn, cause it was a big table... and for me..is such a waste. ( And to save the boyfriend )

I then realized, it is hard to get a table for 1.....
So ended up, i still sat on a table for 4. ( I became a weird scene. LOL )

Anyway the food was as good as usual. Better than Funan Sakae Sushi IMO. ( For Teppanyaki )

CNY Till Now

Hectic Feb...
Just to summarize it.

CNY
I had a good CNY , but abit tiring one.
We went to Furong in Negri Sembilan to stay with 5th Aunt, my mum younger sister.
Just for the record, my mum is the 4th.
Our 家族 in Malaysia is pretty big and we are much much closer to them than those in SG.

Nothing changes much there, babies grown bigger, Tok Tok is still small size, Qing is still tomboyish. But they are no longer the little boy and girl now. Oh ya, Peishi baby girl and 2nd Aunt grand child is so so so so cute.

The rest of CNY was spend mingling, updating, chatting with our cousins, uncles and aunties.
We picked up some new games too. 3 players MJ, tiles Rummy and 3 new ways to gamble with poker cards.

As we are new to all these games.... as expected, we did not fair well on the gambling table.

In between, we went to Genting, while on our way up, we were stuck halfway on mid mountain due to breakdown of the car we were travelling in.

But most of the time we just stayed at 5th Aunt house, as it was always full of our relatives :P
It feels alot like home. :)

The only CNY gathering i had in SG was the one with my childhood friends, Shihao, Ben, ShiJie, Guohao, Ben Sis.
We gathered at ShiJie place to Lo Hei and drank some wine, courtesy from Ben. ( We shared the bill, he sourced for it )

We have this gathering almost every year, nothing much change, catching up and stuff like that.
But it was a bit different as ben's Sis baby girl was around this time, and she created much laughter and put smile on our faces with her antics.

She was shy and crying alot last year, but this year she was on a constant high, very active and not that shy at all.

What a year has change a little baby :P

Home Sweet Home? Nah......

Going home for some ppl brings comforting thoughts.
But for me, it is where the sulking man sit and scowl.

Only the wagging tail and Scooby pawsteps bring me comfort
before i dive straight into my sanctuary, my room.

From Here to Paternity - Matt Dunn

Well... my first library book for 10years turns out to be a winner.
It is one of the best book i ever read, highly recommended for guys. ( Gals too :P )
Touching, Hilarious, Witty with some true insight on guy's mind.

When i borrowed it from the library, i wondered whether i can finish it in 21 Days..but guess what, i finished the book in 5 days only.....

I am gonna find his other 2 books, Best Man & The Ex-Boyfriend's Handbook.
Hope they are as good.

Back to the library again.

My First Library Book for 10 Years

I was browsing in Seng Kang Library and this book captured my attention with its bright yellow cover.

The book is about a guy my age, going thru some mid life crisis / decision making period.

It will keep me company for my trip to Cambodia tomorrow.

Hope the book is good.

Finally!!

Finally i managed to have a good rest on Sat night..
Slept like a bear in hibernation.....

Vicious Cycle.
Can't sleep the previous night.
So i had coffee this morning during work to keep awake.
And guess what, the coffee is still keeping me awake now.
Sighz. So tired, but still can't sleep.

December 2007 - Half way thru

December is a pretty good month for me so far.
Weather is kind of wet. But i like the coolness cause i perspire alot.

I get to drive the car much more lately because my brother is out of town a few times this month.
Again, the parking, weather, traffic and cost are pretty much irritating. But the convienent somehow soften the impact abit.

Work wise as usual. Sales Sales Sales....Where is my number?
Dealing with client, chasing quota, nothing much change.
Hope to hit this quarter number!

Caught a few shows with my dear princesss and had a great time with her in Sentosa as well :P

That's quite enough for now.

Christmas is approaching soon, i wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

I met a stray dog. He is soooooooo cute and friendly. :P

The Central Market at one of the busiest street in Phnom Penh.
You can find jewellery, souvenirs, clothing for all, bags, Maps.
You can even find some very detail maps for topography here.

My last meal in Cambodia was this famous beef noodles.
The taste is lighter than the Singapore version.
We had 3 bowls + 2 drinks @ USD4 only.
Pretty cheap i think.

Jay Zhou Concert 2008 in Singapore

I bought the 周杰倫2008世界巡迴演唱會 tickets today.

The Cat 1 Tickets ( S$198 ) was sold out before Sistic open at 10am... duh

The Cat 2 Tickets ( S$168 ) was sold out about 11am...

I queued for an hour and 30mins and finally gotten 4 x Cat 3 Tickets ( S$138 ).

The wait was so long due to the slow internet access to Sistic ticketing system and partly by indecisive people who can't decide where to seat or was buying tickets for friends with many last minute changes of ticket qty...

Ends up i had to treat Dex and Willie lunch as they accompany me in this warm weather for so long. ( damage S$20.50 )

The concert better be good.

Cambodia Trip - Day 1

15th - 17th Oct - In Cambodia

I had a long and tired day on the 15th Oct, abit Jet lag.... and did not rest much with a crying baby on the same flight....Sigh.....
A weary looking me in hotel lobby.
I reached the hotel about 12pm, had a short rest and freshen up before venturing for my visitation.

I was served a welcome drink when i reached the hotel.

( no idea what is it.........but nice and refreshing anyway.. :P )
Le Royal Raffles Hotel Room with 2 Queen size beds. My usual room with King size bed is not available due to an event. ( Notice that the Sadako is trying to creep out from my TV? So scary..... ) I tried the wireless internet immediately, ( 20USD for 8Hours, SOOOO EXPENSIVE ). The signal is strong now, much better than my last trip here.

Luckily i had it easy finding my way around as the driver Ravong is pretty fluent with English. I took my lunch outside Anana Shop. My first taste of Cambodian fast food. A simple set meal with a sandwich, fries and cola. ( not sure it is Coke or Pepsi or Cambodian Cola )

Spent the rest of the day visiting Computer Shops, but most of them are 2nd hand Computer Shops.... Sigh
